9 Days and 8 Nights Tour Itinerary

While it would take pages to tell you all of what you will see and experience, here are just a few highlights of what you will enjoy on tour:

DAY 1 – Designed to include folks outside of the Denver area, we start at Denver International Airport where you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff of Agape Travel Services.  Tonight we overnight at a historic hotel in Wyoming’s capitol, Cheyenne after a look ath their flamboyant western history.  D 

DAY 2 – Rise and shine beautiful Wyoming! Today we set out to discover the truth behind Wyoming’s state song, “Home on the Range” as we cross the great plains of Wyoming.  Some of the highlights along the way include Hot Springs, a ride aboard the Historic 1880 Train and a photo stop of Crazy Horse Monument before our arrival in Keystone, SD.  Tonight we will attend the lighting ceremony at Mount Rushmore National Memorial.  B L 

DAY 3 – Mount Rushmore’s best photo lighting is in the morning. This morning, we will make a brief stop at Mount Rushmore allowing for that “perfect” photo opportunity before departing town for Badlands National Park and a few special stops before returning to Keystone for the evening.  L

DAY 4—History comes alive as we tour “Boothill” in famous Deadwood, SD and see the nation’s first National Monument, Devil’s Tower, on our way to Sheridan, WY.  Soon you will begin to discover just how much Buffalo Bill Cody and President Theodore Roosevelt were influences of as we continue our tour west.  B  L  D

DAY 5—Cody, WY is named for Buffalo Bill Cody is filled with historical wonder.  You will have a lunch opportunity today at his historic hotel before visiting the Buffalo Bill’s Historical Center with its five museums in one.  Tonight we overnight at the historic Pahaska Tepee with an Agape Travel Services special treat at the Historic Hunting Lodge.  This unforgettable stay is nestled in the National Forest on the edge of Yellowstone National Park.  B D
Tour Option:  1 hour horseback ride through wilderness scenery along the wild game trails of the Shoshone National Forest.  Horses are gentle and surefooted enough to provide comfort for the inexperienced riders and even our “seasoned adults”.  Optional price: $38 for 1 hour 

DAY 6 – There are not enough words to describe the wonder and beauty we will experience today as we tour through Yellowstone National Park with stops at The Upper and Lower Falls, geyser basins and Old Faithful just to name a few.  Tonight we overnight in Yellowstone National Park.  B 

DAY 7— We continue through Yellowstone National Park to finish our tour of the nation’s first National Park.  After traveling south along the Grand Teton Range, we will arrive in the mountain community of Jackson., WY.  Take an opportunity to catch the reenactment of the gunfight in the square as you walk the streets of Jackson, walk amongst the many statues, or simply watch the world go by from the Town Square and it’s 4 antler arches.  B 

DAY 8 – We will travel through the Teton National Forest as we travel south towards Laramie, WY where we will spend our final night.   A morning reststop will take us into the past with the Museum of the Mountain Man.  A special tour of the Wyoming Territorial Prison will leave us with lasting impressions of the “Wild West” after seeing the only place ever to incarcerate Butch Cassidy before we finish the evening off with a special dinner experience. DAY 9 – Homeward bound, we depart for Denver, CO with a few special stops along the way.  Lunch today will be at the home of Celestial Seasoning’s Tea.  After lunch, we’ll enjoy a sampling of a variety of their special teas before taking the tour of the factory.  Just a stone’s throw away, we make an afternoon stop at The Leanin’ Tree Museum of Western Art before our arrival in Denver.  B L

docents Agape Travel Services may use.  Price does not include gratuity for the Tour Manager or the Tour Driver as we feel that those gratuities should be a reflection of service and not an expected set amount.  
With tour departure packets participants will receive a copy of industry standard tipping guidelines for reference.
